To capture the written wisdom, I turned to quotes from the book that I had highlighted. I decided to create a striking visual treatment to bring to life my favorite quote - “You have to fall in love with boredom”. I combined cursive and bold lettering in a geometric composition, creating interesting pockets of negative space that guide the viewer’s eye. Around the text, I weaved in icons and memorabilia that are associated with repetition and mundanity to drive home the quote’s meaning.

 

In addition, the color palette of sleepy blues and greens, dusk-like yellow and lavender gives a romantic impression of a lonely desk lamp in the middle of the night.
